IRS Phishing Scam

Wednesday - April 18th., 2007
There is a new Phishing scam making the rounds, only this time it pretends to be a refund from the IRS.  Just like the bank scams it promises something in return for your private information.  Don't fall victim to it.  The IRS usually uses snail mail to contact you, and would never ask for your personal info over the Web.

DON'T CLICK THE LINK, DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Be sure not to click the link as it could initiate a download of malicious software without your knowledge or consent.

Here is a link to an IRS page telling you what to do if you think you've received one of these, http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=155344,00.html.

Regards,
your ETCS team
