What is Adobe Presenter?
by
John Myers
Adobe Presenter is an add-on for Microsoft PowerPoint. It allows you
to synchronize your PowerPoint slides with audio and video and output them
in the Web-friendly PDF format. Presenter takes your slides and puts them
in a professional looking PDF file complete with built in branding and navigation.
These PDF files are great for standalone presentations, web presentations,
distribution on DVD's and in course management systems.
Here at ETCS we have created eight Presenter presentations that demonstrate
how to build your own presentations, (see:
http://etcs.ext.missouri.edu/Presenter/Presenter-main.shtm).
The introduction module demonstrates some of the simple things you can do.
We then go on to the anatomy of a Presenter presentation and the installation
instructions of the software. The last five modules show you how to brand
your presentations, add audio, video and quizzes to your presentation, and
finally how to publish your presentation. Most modules take less than 5
minutes to view.
The software is extremely easy to use. We are confident that after viewing
the above modules you will have the knowledge needed to create your own.
If you have questions or problems feel free to contact ETCS for help.
Adobe Presenter comes with Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended for low University
pricing of $71/computer. If you would like to purchase a copy of the software,
please email
John Myers with the number of copies you want and the MOcode
you want charged.
