Flash Applications

Flash applications allow you to add action to your web pages and presentations as well as combine audio and animation in a package small enough to be delivered over a modem.  Flash can be used in a number of different ways.  One example is the “Tips in Less Than a Minute” section of this web site.

Here we take individual screen shots and have Flash display them at different times, synchronized to an audio clip.  This setup produces what looks like a screen capture movie with voice over at a file size small enough to send over a modem.

The next example is an interactive flash test.  Here you can see three different types of questions that can be asked; true/false, multiple choice, and fill in the blank.  The flash application allows the user to check their answers as well as get hints to help them better understand the subject matter.

The final example is a flash animation.  Here an interactive animation is presented that allows the user to choose between two parts of the hydro logic cycle; evaporation and precipitation.
